Imbalance at the beginning
The blowhard from Okefenokee Swamp
The idea of one big answer with all matters settled, before Movement-evolution at the beginning or after in opposition to it, makes no sense since, if all matters were settled, a ‘matter’ were to occur that wasn’t settled. The idea of unsettlement. Restlessness. Agitation. Its physical image vibrating quanta behaving like waves, charged with energy eternally at unrest. Instability of Movement, a condition with all the attributes of one big answer in reverse. Suggesting that one big answer came first after all. Yet if it was an impossibility – if it could only ‘be’ make-believe willed into ‘being’ by a know-it-all, another impossibility — then Movement-unrest could not have originated as a reaction. There being no ‘action’ preceding it, only a nutty idea: the permanence of inaction.
Inactivity. A negative when paired with Activity. Movement-unrest. A positive that necessarily obviates the chicken-and-egg situation beloved of the authoritarian mindset. The ‘debate’ that isn’t. Over which came first, in an attempt to exploit the vulnerability of its captive personality types. Those predisposed to lean toward willfulness — body-centered animal instinct — in opposition to Mindfulness, so they’ll be convinced that one big answer came first. The model upon which ‘authoritarian’ is based. The false ‘ideal’ of everything knowable and known and, therefore, susceptible of possession by one entity. The authoritarian conception of ‘supremacy’: the know-it-all. The blustering bully in its pose of unassailability. Armor-plated with knowledge in its pose of invulnerability.
When the truth underlying this flawed premise is that ‘chicken and the egg’ can’t characterize or define the situation at the beginning if one or the other couldn’t ‘happen’ without the other. If while they’re attached in some way they can’t also be equal. The sad fact for the authoritarian mindset is that it was the one big answer that by its very nature couldn’t happen. The full-blown Sis Boombah chicken, Walt Kelly’s not-so-charming addition to the denizens of Okefenokee Swamp. A blowhard. Make-believe’s relegation to second-in-line the cause of authoritarian resentment, willful, reactionary, and recalcitrant. The unhappy camper that accompanies all Movement-evolution forward, whining with self-pity, conniving to obstruct progress all the way.
The room with only one view
In the condition of anything goes. Life on Earth, where opposite sides of any issue have equal status and, therefore, nothing goes. Giving the authoritarian mindset its excuse for being offended and obstreperous since the way things are is obviously biased against it. Against one big stationary all-knowing answer for which there can be no comparison and no equal. Since we live in a world of Movement, restless and agitated, questioning our way to understanding the meaning of things. The meaning of life and the origin and fate of our universe. A stance that’s anathema to the idea that all matters are settled. A contradiction that must be stamped out by any means since it can have no redeeming value. The way things are that’s inherently not authoritarian for being Movement. Agitation. Restlessness.
The idea distorted and mischaracterized by the know-it-all. Transformed magically without Logic into rebellion. ‘Libs’ who must be ‘owned’ so that they can be caged, silenced, and ultimately put to death. ‘Rebels’ — apostates and infidels by definition in this warped telling, because they stand for the legitimacy of bias. When to the know-it-all there cannot be even the suggestion of a ‘point of view’. Of ‘perspective’ when not even ‘view’ is legitimate let alone bias. When the know-it-all is and holds every ‘view’ to itself: it is ‘view’. The room with only one view.
On a foundation of bias
Thus eliminating an entire category of lexicography devoted to an essential function of Mind: Understanding. From different points of view since all is perspective. Since there can be no one all-encompassing ‘view’ in the presence of Movement. In the presence of the idea at the essence, the core of ‘possibility’: of many points of view. Whatever points are required by situations for their understanding. Many perspectives implied by the idea of situation. ‘Situation’ being anathema to the know-it-all mindset for implying that its ‘creation’, its pride and joy, is just another among many situations that happen along. Composed of circumstances in motion, when it is the only possible ‘situation’. Now reduced to a point in the sequence of evolution that moves forward one act, one circumstance at a time, one leading into the other in logical sequence. All of it interconnected. A dynamic process that couldn’t happen in a structure of immovability. Anti-motion.
The way things are in this telling, from this perspective, is inherently progressive. Intolerable to the know-it-all whose willed-into-‘being’ ‘creation’ knows nothing of change, of Movement, in any direction. Forward, backward, sidewards, up or down. Its only orientation centered on the know-it-all, the not-mindset that made it up. Both part of the same fantasy: maker and the made-up, knower and the known. Whose analogue in life on Earth is the body-centered, body-sensing ‘realist’. The scientist, philosopher, psychologist, and theologian of body-idolatry. Who put the body at the center of the way things are. At the center of the physical universe, and fail to recognize that body and universe are all of one piece. That there is nothing for sensory perception to ‘perceive’ but itself. Self-misperception, the reverse-opposite of Self-Awareness.
Where all this is leading is to the realization that Movement in the absence of one big answer is perspective, and perspective is necessarily bias. That Movement in the absence of unchanging permanence – the impossibility of stability, rest, eternal ‘peace’ – is imbalance. Bedrock that tilts. Beneath the way things are – its foundation. Calling upon its Creations forever to address every situation, to respond to the call of every situation, for balance with balance. To use Mind’s ignition by Relationship, the faculties and powers of Self-Awareness, to bring Order to disorder. Starting with balance among situations’ disparate components, tilting and leaning this way and that. Where see-sawing between one end and the other comes to a rest. At the point of pivot. Of inflection and equilibrium.
Starting with differentiation between the way things are and the way they aren’t. Movement powered by Relationship and make-believe opposed to both. Immobility locked into place by a know-it-all, inaccessible, unchanging, and unchangeable. Arrogance on its throne of supremacy atop its domain of hierarchy. Where all this is leading is the realization that predetermination is bias. That can’t be manipulation when it’s bedrock that tilts. The foundation for the way things are in Reality. Perspective that’s Life-Creativity devoted to the cause of Relationship, Order, and Balance. The foundation for the way things are in unreality. Misidentity and misperception devoted to the chaos of imbalance.
Foundation or no foundation
We are not born and bred for the cause of bias, to be at each other’s throats. We got there honestly when it is in the nature of Mind-Relationship itself to be a balancing act. Of Relationship, the ignition of Movement and Self-Awareness at the beginning of everything that is, to be agitation tilting and leaning this way and that. As if toward particle in these conditions, toward wave in those conditions. Identifying differently, behaving differently. Ever hard to pin down because ever hard at work balancing. Self-Awareness is perspective bringing balance to the Movement of agitation questioning, tilting and leaning this way and that. On a foundation of restlessness. Built-in bias. Not exactly an ideal condition if peace and stability were what we’re after. But at least it’s the way things happen to be. Instead of make-believe. No foundation at all.

Liberation by Metaphysics
The ‘republican guard’ of herd mentality
This had better be good. Why? Syntax. Always a challenge when you babble in your language of ideas. Over and over I don’t get it. . . And neither does anyone else. I know of no one who even reads this stuff let alone understands it. Well, I read it. You rework the same ideas from different perspectives into different contexts, and eventually a few, at least, begin to feel familiar. But then a new idea comes into play. You don’t like new ideas? This balancing thing sounds too new, a game-changer or a game-ender, I can’t tell which. Because now ‘Meaning’ has to be balance in addition to character with integrity and everything else. Too many attributes!
Like too many prescription drugs? Yes. At some point we need to prioritize, let go of whatever we can do without. How about Bud Abbott’s and Lou Costello’s comedy sketch, “Who’s on First?” That was miscommunication on purpose. Leaving something out would ruin the effect. Which was? Humor. The irrationality behind our magic kingdom of make believe where anything goes is a joker. As well as a magician since it’s a magic act. The ‘order’ behind its disorder is the reverse of what it projects. What does it project? Its selling point, the idea behind ‘anything goes’: absolute freedom. To be and do anything you want.
What’s the reverse? Its dependence. It can’t be and do anything it wants itself if its ‘existence’ is dependent on its host. The entity to which it is the reverse. The definition to which it is but a hypothetical opposite, with no definition of its own. It sure gets around for someone without dog tags. ‘Life’ on Earth was made by it, of it, and for it. Its embodiments don’t need dog tags. Under the administration of authoritarian-tribe they’re its shock troops. The ‘republican guard’ of herd mentality. Visible and audible. In every way an exact match with the general run of humanity.
Fond of my dog tags
How can this be if they’re reversals? Not-is versions of what-is? Energy. Something about Energy that the human Mind won’t grasp so long as it’s captive to sensory perception. To body-brains’ five senses that rise up in righteous wrath at the suggestion that there is a sixth sense. A faculty of Mind that’s not only independent of body-brain, it detects what the five senses can’t detect. In fact, what they don’t want it to detect. What’s that? What lies behind appearances. Behind the collaboration between body-sensed and sensing whose purpose is to prevent its detection. My eyes see stuff so I won’t see other stuff? Yes. And Energy is pulling the strings?
If we stick with physics we won’t have an answer. Then I can’t be captive to sensory perception? How about if I switch on my Brookstone LED Beanie. Will that work? Well, it does illuminate distances thirty feet away. But we’re talking about Mind, and headlamps just help bodies get around in the dark. Let’s text Polyphemus. He didn’t need a headlamp. No. That was a real eye in the middle of his forehead. You might get better results texting the symbol on the dollar bill. Ah! The All-Seeing eye! Yes. The “Eye of Providence” supposedly keeping watch on human foolishness. But if all it sees is embodiments then we’re not any better off.
OK. My headlamp is turned off and I’m in the dark. What now? We turn on our imaginations. Imagine that our sixth sense has brought us an insight out of the blue. Cool! Like when it suddenly dawns on me that I’ve curled up into a fetal position and I’m sucking my thumb. What? Returning to the womb so I don’t have to listen to this stuff. Your imagination is captive to fear. Wouldn’t you rather set it free? Not if there’s a bunch of stuff to be afraid of.
Aren’t you afraid of anything? Of myself. A rare moment of candor! Of relating to the metaphysical version of all of us. Our real Self. I’m OK with letting go of this life since it’s temporary and full of non-sequiturs. But I can’t shake the impression that what will replace it is, like, this enormous thing that will swallow me up and venture off into big doings that scare the hell out of me. I’ve known days in this life when it’s all I can do to make the bed. And I’m kind of fond of my dog tags. It’s the only ‘me’ that I know. You like yourself. In an ironic, self-deprecating way since I’m hopelessly addicted to the very animal-tribal foibles that I deprecate. Sounds like a love-hate relationship. With the animal in me. Part of Sapiens’ training, I guess. To figure out how to manage the beast.
A sucker for animal passion
What is it that the human Mind can’t grasp about Energy? That while it’s true that whatever it is and does on behalf of Mind puts it in a servant-master relationship with Mind, it will do so whether its master Mind is Mind-Relationship Parents or their Child. A function of Mind-Relationship / Self-Awareness that’s Free Choice. That being Free Choice it must function autonomously and undergo training that allows it to choose its way to its function in Creation rather than simply to grow into it. Training that brings it into contact with reversal in its own articulation. Which would necessarily be self-unawareness, an undefined state of anything goes. The make-believe world of virtual reality we’ve been referring to as the big answer at the beginning and hallucination that’s life on Earth. The training ground for Free Choice, from the bottom up and inside-out in a hierarchical animal kingdom that’s top down and outside-in. Authoritarian tribal competing and combating with humanitarian individual.
Energy is translating Mind-Relationship’s thoughts into acts, causes into effects, even when it’s doing the bidding of its Child Mind-Free Choice that’s hallucinating. No wonder we can’t tell the difference! Einstein could translate Energy into a mathematical formula E=MC2 because Energy is a function of Mind. He failed to translate the workings of a Mind hallucinating with help from Energy into a formula because even though Energy is Real the universe of spacetime-matter it was directed by Mind hallucinating to ‘create’ isn’t real. It’s a version of make-believe. Projection, not Creation. Like an image projected onto a movie screen. The impossibility conjured by magical thinking of separating an idea from the Mind thinking it.
Energy is of Mind but not the thinking-feeling part of Mind. It was a byproduct of the phenomenon we owe everything to. The attraction between two functions of Mind that, by themselves, without the other, couldn’t move. Couldn’t function. Couldn’t do anything. So you can imagine when Love and Logic evolved to the point where they were relatable they went ballistic when they discovered one another. Like the boy in my chemistry class who was overcome by my feminine charms. Oh, that one. Yes. The one who accidentally drank a potion while he was stricken with my beauty and turned into a werewolf. Mr. Hyde. And now you and he are making the scene together. I’m a sucker for animal passion and he’s got it. All the other girls are insanely jealous.
‘Happening’ on Mars
Being of Mind Love and Logic were ideas. And when they connected they demonstrated what happens when ideas of Mind interconnect. They ignited Mind’s Self-Awareness. Like two wires coming together to start an engine. There couldn’t just be ‘God’ and ‘God’ let there be light? There could be if we stand pat with what a shaman came up with eons ago when the only mentality around was herd mentality. Fill the void with make-believe and surround it with other-worldly mystical stuff and your tribal peers will cut you in on the kill around the campfire. The phenomenon of Mind self-starting. And doing so with an instrument that Self-Awareness could then use to effectuate itself. The idea of Self with functions greater than the sum of its constituent functions Love plus Logic. Greater because enabled and empowered by Energy. An idea inseparable from another idea: immediacy.
A lot of stuff happened when lovely lady Love batted her eyelashes at handsome hunk Logic and they embraced. It brought into being an idea the human mind has no words for. What’s wrong with ‘immediacy’? We need a term that’s not derived from time and I can think of none. ‘Instant’, ‘eternity’, ‘here and now’, like ‘immediacy’ – all divested of ‘past’, ‘present’, and ‘future’ without changing into another costume. Still appearing on stage in the plumage of time. Life on Earth so much a part of time, time so much a part of hallucination, sensory perception so conditioned by it, that terminology has never bothered to find a word for its opposite.
Strange. It seems to revel in the terminology of reversal. Maybe on purpose, because if human self-unawareness connects time with hallucination those two wires might ignite Self-Awareness. Physics has produced plenty of evidence of questionable reality in the physical universe. Like? The fact that there’s no ‘Now’ anywhere in the universe. Just a ‘present’ that’s an interval between ‘past’ and ‘future’. Somewhere around the tip of our nose that doesn’t entirely open up to ‘Now’. Meaning that whatever ‘happens’ in our experience of ‘happening’ happens in horizontal time and, moreover, it isn’t happening ‘Now’ here or at the same time anywhere else. There being a fifteen-minute interval between the typing of these words and its ‘happening’ on Mars. And if it isn’t happening ‘Now’ it can’t be ‘happening’ at all.
Direction
The human Mind has yet to fully grasp the meaning of Einstein’s theories of relativity. ‘Relativity’ being a dead giveaway that spacetime-matter is make-believe. The idea that time depends on something else to be what it is. Moving faster or slower depending on its proximity to Energy stored in physical objects of varying sizes and electromagnetic-gravitational force. The reverse of Relationship’s prototype where Love and Logic complement and complete one another to produce the idea of a sovereign Self. To activate the function Mind with Self-Awareness composed not of one monolithic entity, one-dimensional and inaccessible, but of Relationship, two-dimensional and relatable. Entirely free of the idea of dependence and addiction built into relativity. Of willfulness built into make-believe, that could only be ‘relative’ if there’s no Self-Awareness / Relationship to center it. To serve as its coordinate. Its anchor. ‘Relativity’ being what you get when there is no ‘center’ in make-believe other than its ‘creator’, a know-it-all impossibility. An imposter. A phony.
Is there a visual to go along with this? Start with boundaryless open space where there can be no ‘center’ and therefore no fixed coordinates to help with navigation through and around it. Well then, my mind will be left at the gate because I can’t imagine ‘boundaryless’. I need limits! Exactly. The situation at the beginning and at our beginning with life on Earth couldn’t evolve into anything ‘operational’ unless given definition. Limits. Boundaries. The first step toward Movement forward – evolution – was the satisfaction of this basic requirement. For navigation. Direction.
Structure
What was it? Relationship. When Mind is neither ‘place’ nor ‘space’ but ‘state’ or ‘condition’. And Movement progresses from situation to situation viewed always from perspective. From the perspective of Mind-Self whose Self-Awareness has been ignited-illuminated by the power of Attraction. By the fusion of Love-Spontaneity with Logic-Order in the immediacy of timeless Now. What we’re given by this dynamic is the visual of Mind given Definition by its origin: coming together. Relationship. To convert non-functioning, non-operational, into function. Into operation. Ignition! What visual? A beacon. The flame to which the moth is attracted.
If boundaryless space bothers the human mind that needs boundaries — if we’re afraid of the dark – we’re given the gift of a navigational aid and a source of comfort both. The light provided by Relationship at the beginning, not only when Movement takes off with Direction and Meaning but where it takes off. The human mind won’t bother itself with limits and boundaries if it can affix itself to Relationship itself. To be secured within the womb where all life begins. To be enveloped in care that’s definitive of Parents aware of its needs, capable of attending to them with all the attributes of Love and Logic, motivated to do so by the Energy that brought them together.
Wow! Take me there now! The human Psyche craves an impossibility if its situation is imagined as a boundaryless dark void. To be ‘situated’ at its ‘center’ when there is no ‘center’ by definition and therefore no possibility of being ‘situated’. Yet that’s what it seeks when all it ‘recognizes’, all it ‘knows’, is the boundaries of spacetime-matter into which our body-brains are interwoven. Somewhere in this unfathomable universe of space and place there must be structure. Architecture and engineering subject to immutable rules of composition, the finished product susceptible of definition. Knowable. Quantifiable by numbers and therefore measurable. Reducible to an equation that explains its interconnections. The holy grail of physics that Einstein was set up by his profession and humanity to find.
Otherwise there’s something wrong. Either with the product or with the mentality trying to understand how it can be. The fix Einstein found himself in when his calculations didn’t return the formula he was after. When they suggested that what he was after was the problem, not the universe. The formula to describe structure that wasn’t there.
Relationship
What was there? The truth that can only be detected beyond make-believe by Mind’s sixth sense, which Einstein and his fellow five-sensing physicists were sworn to never to credit. Never to acknowledge let alone rely upon. The truth that ‘structure’ is the product of forces that would never trap themselves inside matter. Inside embodiments: demonstrations of separation and distancing, incompatibility and friction. Enemies of structure instead of friends, whose ultimate destination can’t be a paradise of togetherness when it’s the reverse. By its nature. Its Logic.
Structure is to be found in interconnections and interrelationships. In the Reality of Movement directed forward by the Logic of sequence. The orderly progression of ideas interconnecting Logically through their limitless implications. In the Reality of Life-Creation motivated by Love-feeling through its limitless relationships. Both joined together in one Self, one perspective, motivated and motivating, directed and directing, according to the forces defining it. Evolution guided by Definition, the way things are determined by the dynamic of Relationship at the beginning. The great Coming Together. Of the Spontaneity of Love with the Order of Logic. Life’s source and beacon. Its structure and coordinate. Our Vision and beacon: Energy in the eternal Now. Relationship.
The pinball machine
No wonder we’re obsessed with pairing off! Embodiments mating with other embodiments. Satisfaction that’s occasional and temporary, limited in purpose to pro-generation. Subject to de-generation over time into dissatisfaction and worse. A misadventure within a misadventure when body-brains are programmed by their source for something else. What? Tribal belonging. Relationship with one another constrained by the requirements of service to a collective ‘self’. The invention of herd mentality and its deity: the primacy of ‘herd’. The reverse of Self brought into oneness and Life by its constituent functions. The principle and necessity of integration. Structural integrity. To be undone by dis-integration. The face of arrogance claiming one ‘self’ to itself. In the disguise of ‘sociability’: one for all, all for one. Herd-beast expedience and hypocrisy everything, Person-individual Conscience and sincerity nothing.
In relationships among personifications of ideas human-animal seeks to anchor itself in make-believe without an anchor. Seeks to find security in relativity and when it can’t, falls back on the big lie. Succumbs to the allure of make-believe and its ‘promise’ of a ‘paradise’ of security untroubled by Movement. Why doesn’t relativity suffice? Its premise is that we can find our way around in the absence of a center — an anchor — by relating to other moving objects. To one another instead of to the coordinate we carry within our Psyches. The original Relationship, the Parents of Mind’s function of Free Choice seated in the Mind of their Child.
Trying to navigate around boundaryless space by bouncing off of one another turns it into a pinball machine and us the balls. Not an affirmation of the motivation we were equipped with at birth but an affront to our nature. When Einstein used relativity to explain interconnections among inorganic physical objects out there he was describing something fundamental about human psychology. About interrelationships among organic embodiments, that we seek to locate ourselves when we situate ourselves with others. Letting ‘others’ tell us not only where we are but who and what we are. An interaction that’s as degraded by inter-dependency as Newtonian absolutes are degraded by relativity.
Willfulness in the wild
I don’t want to go there. It’s too upsetting. It seems humanity doesn’t want to go there, because all that thought seems to have made of Einstein’s relativity — Western and Eastern — is that the deciphering of the mysteries of the universe has led to even deeper mysteries. And so we should forget about knowing the unknowable and concentrate on filling potholes. At one time in history the rock stars were thinkers like Plato and Aristotle, Kant and Descartes. Essayists like Montaigne and Voltaire. If all they could produce was more philosophical speculation to nowhere they lost their glamor and glitter. They were a bore. The stage was overrun by ‘action’ and that’s where all the noise is coming from now. The big answer.
Entertainment from pretense that’s no answer, but at least it satisfies our craving for a semblance of it. The appearance of something ‘happening’. And when it fails to satisfy heads will roll. Yes! More entertainment! Public emasculation! Uranus losing his manhood to an uprising from his own family. His own fans unhappy – Gaia and Cronus — that he couldn’t anoint them with his crown when an official blew a call. Or a kicker missed a field goal. Unhappy that they couldn’t be number one holding a shotgun while posing with their foot on a dead rhinoceros. Who cares about the rhinoceros! Maybe the rhinoceros? The other team and its fans? Who’s really keeping score?
Score one for relativity! Yes. The ‘winner’ took a step closer to its goal. Self-definition by the idea of ‘supremacy’ above and beyond all competition. The authoritarian ideal: freedom from relativity! The reverse of Relationship anchoring Creation: ‘self’ divested of all relationships. Transformed into the absolute. Freedom and power unchecked by limits. Willfulness in the wild, unburdened by obligations of any kind. Free of awareness. Free to act without thought, to impose costs without accountability. Free of the very Definition that ignited Movement at the beginning. Off in a fairyland of its own making. Content to float adrift high above ringside, unbothered by the violence and carnage beneath it. The consequence of its absence. Of its psychological, emotional, and moral impoverishment. Besotted with ‘supremacy’.
Beyond Freudian pseudo-science
The authoritarian parent. Modeled not on the Parents of their Child Free Choice. On the humanitarian-individual ideal but on the specter of their reverse. The know-it-all, ‘ruler’ of its invention. Make-believe. The big answer. Joker, magician, beast. Herd mentality and the instrument of its appearance: predatory animal instinct. Not “I think therefore I am” but “I destroy therefore I rule.”
If we mean to be Good we must understand it. The idea of it, which means both sides of it. Its definition: what it is and understanding it from its reverse perspective. What it isn’t. Bad. Which means to fully understand Good from both sides of it we must understand bad as well as Good, our purpose in life on Earth. To familiarize ourselves, Choice needing to be Free, with the bad side of Good. So that Person, the Self that we are, will have the competence to differentiate between Good and its reverse-reflection bad. To differentiate between the Good side of our thinking-feeling / acting and the bad side so that Choice may choose freely and correctly. ‘Person’? The humanitarian-individual side of human-animal as distinct from authoritarian-tribe. Personification as distinct from embodiment. Mindfulness vs. the willfulness of predatory animal instinct.
Distinctions played out in the seismic break between Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, psychology’s re-enactment of Sapiens’ break from ape. How so? Freud stuck religiously to the one-dimensional, one-sided view that human psychological dysfunction is physiological. Brain chemistry. Trapped by animal brain willfulness into the make-believe world of Mind self-deluded. Mind-Relationship’s Child Free Choice. Self-unaware, self-misidentifying, and hallucinating. Jung’s perspective was not so limited. His sixth sense or Mind’s eye opened it to possibilities beyond convention. Beyond Freudian-religious body idolatry, to psychic activity that hinted at another force at work altogether. Beyond appearances. Beyond hallucination, where there’s Movement. Where things happen. Beyond Freudian pseudo-science into metaphysics.
The promise of liberation
The big mistake is thinking physics is where it’s at. The klieg lights attending Einstein’s arrival at Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Study in 1933, whose dimming twenty-two years later should have signaled a turn of events upon his death and failure but didn’t. Realization that if physics isn’t the big stage maybe it’s training for the big stage. Life-Creation. Where timeless ideas make the difference instead of their flitting expressions in matter. The value-added Worth of Character and Integrity earned and learned. How so? Right here, by standing up to the bad side of Good. By Person, the personification of Sapiens-Choice, declaring its allegiance.
Which side it’s on. The thinking-feeling Conscience of Mindfulness, differentiating and empathizing, as opposed to the mindless cruelty of predatory animal instinct. Allegiance to the cause of Self-Awareness as opposed to its reverse: self-unawareness. Humanity’s Declaration of Independence from hallucination, presaged by American Independence from herd mentality and its denial of individual human rights. All of it the legacy of battering by the world of make-believe. Entrapment by physics — Plato’s Cave — and the promise of liberation by metaphysics.

Balance
Not-questioning
The promise of balance too? How does this overcome the situation at the beginning that you described? Where perspective is tendency to tilt this way and that. Because if the way things are can’t be one big answer they’ll always involve questioning. That can’t let well enough alone. The surface below – restless, agitated. Putting the faculties of Mind, the attributes of Character, to work finding for every situation the response that ensures its stability. Its balance. Like engineering solutions to keep it from falling or capsizing when buffeted by crosswinds, earth tremors, or rough seas. Comparable to an object’s gyroscope or an organism’s postural controls. The function of The Chinese Book of Changes. The I Ching: a catalogue of situations that pose questions we are to learn from in the absence of one big answer.
Balance in Reality was accomplished by Love-Spontaneity’s fusion with Logic-Order in the timeless Now. An articulation that means to get across an idea free of contamination by make-believe but can’t. Why not? Because we who inhabit its magic kingdom can’t imagine ourselves beyond it. Mention ‘outer space’ and we either detect the Earth’s blue atmosphere or a night sky of darkness punctuated by visible objects that no longer exist. Or, if they do, they’re different. Even if Sapiens has been gifted with differentiation and empathy the Mind of humanity is still split. Between questioning the way things are to get beyond make-believe and identifying with the know-it-all. The big answer that’s whatever Mind’s reverse-reflection wills it to be. Not-questioning. The stick determined to stay stuck in the mud by willing away questioning and Creativity along with it.
An apparition
The manipulator is the big answer silencing other voices questioning. By willing itself not to hear. Self-imposed sensory deprivation. Deafness and blindness. Self-mutilation. The smoker who was told point-blank by the US Surgeon General that smoking causes cancer and didn’t hear it. Shunted it off into her subconscious. Because her manipulator had a preternatural ability to will out of existence anything that conflicted with its paradise of make-believe. And so one day, years later, she slurred her words and saw a doctor. And learned that she hadn’t had a stroke. It was stage four lung cancer metastasized to her brain.
What did she do then? The doctor’s prognosis this time got a conscious reaction. From her manipulator, once again asserting the supremacy of its will. Of make-believe over reality, denying the inevitable. “We’re going to beat this,” she told her son, and then, some months later, she was beaten. To be followed by another son. This one so gifted with the same preternatural ability that no voice could penetrate his self-willed magic kingdom of make-believe. Not the Surgeon General, his father, brother, or children. What happened to him? Like his mother before him, he stuck himself in the mud and remains stuck. In a ‘paradise’ of self-unawareness and inaccessibility, trusting to the ‘care’ of his manipulator. The know-it-all in charge of make-believe. A nut job.
He’s going off half-cocked. Yes. Like humanity in general, or at least roughly half of it since Sapiens remains undecided over which identity it wants to assume: humanitarian-individual or authoritarian-tribe.
Which seems likely? It’s not a tribal issue, though the way I’ve addressed it can seem that way. Not for ‘we’ as human-tribe to decide but rather for ‘human’ as a family of individuals to decide. Each of us coming to conscious agreement that we’re being manipulated by a logical absurdity. That going forward is possible with Understanding that can only be gained when as Persons we let go of it. Not with herd-thinking caught up with externals, that sweeps through a species instinctively, sub-consciously, and manipulates its members like cattle. But with mind-thinking between individual and Psyche, the relationship that defines individual as ‘Person’. The Loving Friendship I speak of between our minds questioning and Guidance within that’s Definition responding. Spontaneously, with insights accessible through Mind’s sixth sense.
Herd mentality comes down on the side of authoritarian-tribe because that’s what it is. We – you and I – can’t assume that minds captive to it will change. Where change does seem to be possible is among Persons not captive to tribe. Those who haven’t retreated from reality into their granular worlds of make-believe where they imagine themselves safe from difficulties the rest of us are coping with. Smug in their contentment that they can will us, our questioning, and any other unpleasantries away with magical, psychopathic thinking. With predatory animal instinct. Willfulness — wild, unhinged, and self-destructive. Psychological sticks in the mud. Pushovers for the hazards of self-unawareness, from split minds at war with themselves to broken bodies and relationships resistant to healing. Helpless toadies. The faces of the know-it-all. Joker, magician, beast. An apparition.
Affinity for flatness
The big answer imagines itself a vertical structure firmly grounded on a flat surface. So that its ‘creator’ who willed it into ‘being’ could rule it from the highest vantage point without opposition. Its one-and-only view in no danger of being compromised by Movement. Specifically by being moved off center. Which sounds innocuous until we realize that the ‘creator’s’ one-and-only view has now become what it fears: one view among many possible views. And thus no longer above questioning. The dreaded status of ‘perspective’. A status that saturates the idea of Movement with the ideals of the 18th-century French Revolution: Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite. Perspectives of limitless possibilities but not to be separated by comparison into superior and inferior, ‘winners’ and ‘losers’, rulers and ruled. Anathema to the authoritarian mindset of make-believe’s ‘creator’, whose ‘creation’ can only be conceived and cast in forms of top-down hierarchy.
But on a flat surface. Yes. So that ‘creation’s ruler and all its subjects may enjoy their idyll of immobility – motionlessness – free of any worry about tilting or leaning this way or that. Compromising their hallowed one-and-only view that’s not-perspective. How influential is this nonsense with the human Psyche? If some insist that the Earth is flat, who otherwise arouse no particular suspicion, then it’s influential. The authoritarian mindset is notoriously attached to hierarchy. Less well known is its affinity for flatness, the attribute of the universe – flat – that traces back to its ‘creator’, the king of beasts in charge of our animal kingdom of hierarchy. An authoritarian. Who gets hysterical if it can’t position its throne of supremacy on a flat surface.
An idea divided against itself
Restlessness at the beginning was fraction. One way of representing irresolution between fundamentally different perspectives and propositions: top or enumerator oriented forward in motion, bottom or denominator in a stance of resistance to motion. Top-enumerator moving uneasily upon a foundation that’s also moving, subject to a force whose orientation is to divide and replace it. Bottom-denominator whose value is fixed by the value of top-enumerator in reverse. Otherwise unfixed and arbitrary, ensuring a chronic state of imbalance. Where one or the other perspective or proposition must lean or tilt to one side or the other. Where neither can assume equilibrium unless and until the problem of contradiction is solved.
Which it was at the beginning by Relationship. The coming together of complementary functions of Mind spontaneously. Logic-Order with Love-Spontaneity to ignite Movement. Whose first order of business was the prototype for all acts of Mind differentiating: differentiating between enumerator-possibility and denominator-impossibility. One being that is, the other its reverse-opposite that isn’t. Their being one and the same proposition but necessarily two sides of it. Definition by what being is not as well as by what it is. Logic plain and simple.
That once it took care of business, Movement’s ignition could express itself in the Self-Awareness of Mind-Relationship. In no danger of contradicting itself. Reality in no danger of being undone by unreality. Denominator and restlessness built into Movement’s Definition, eternally part of its condition, but inactive. Not at all conceived in the way that Love and Logic formed their bond, through the power of attraction that knows no limits. This one shot through with limits: an idea divided against itself, perpetually obliged to make peace with an attachment. An unhappy camper that its host can’t live with or without.
Tendencies
Movement’s ignition by Relationship at the beginning was the original situation. ‘Situation’ is derived from ‘site’ implying the idea of place. If situation is place, and place is unbalanced tilting this way or that, then anything resting upon it — ‘resting’ upon restlessness — won’t be in balance or fixed in place. It will have tendencies to lean or tilt this way or that.
Persons conceived in the womb at the point of fertilization will be conceived with tendencies to lean-tilt in one direction or the other because of restlessness-irresolution, the absence of one big static answer. This tendency expresses itself in the evolution of ‘person’ from fertilized egg to the idea of personality, the form it assumes once it acquires the movement-mobility. The ability to function-perform under the external conditions of its part of the world. Personality with built-in tendencies to lean this way or that.
Putting it on course in its movements to combine with others with similar tendencies or with different-opposite tendencies that are functionally complementary, or to collide with others innately contradictory because of circumstances-situations or by choice. Collisions being the nature of interactions between ships trying to sail-navigate on an unbalanced sea. Between conveyances trying to move-maneuver on an unbalanced surface. Collisions occurring between forms of life-existence on Earth owe their origin to the nature of the situation at the beginning that expressed-revealed itself after Movement revealed its opposite-reversal. Meaning-implying that Movement couldn’t proceed in a state of balance if its reverse-opposite, restlessness, the absence of make-believe ‘balance’ at the beginning, were to contradict it.
Toward collision and wrongdoing
Life on Earth, hallucination of Movement’s reverse-reflection, is the theatrics of restlessness-imbalance, all movement being predetermined by nature to list-tilt this way or the other, the foundational principle of interactions-interrelationships, rather than order-harmony. The principle of collision. Human-Sapiens task being to change course when personality types appear to be headed toward collision. To manage the all-important navigational capability of Movement, its direction. Adjustments of direction are a test of choice-character whether toward freedom-integrity or toward genuflection-corruption when a fundamental difference between tendencies, between leanings-tilts, is toward or away from right-doing, Conscience derived from Definition, toward or away from wrong-doing.
Pursuit of goals, whether happiness of purpose or happiness without purpose, can’t succeed without avoidance of collision. Even if collision is sought since personalities seeking wrongdoing-collision must be self-colliding within their types to tilt this way. Toward imbalance. Types tending toward collision-conflict are unbalanced. All perspectives by nature in life on Earth are unbalanced.
Movement ignited / powered-activated by Relationship at the beginning self-corrected by recognizing imbalance, the state of restlessness that cannot relate, cannot move, and therefore cannot be or do anything as make-believe. The first act of Self-Awareness that made Creation-evolution possible. Establishing Order by withholding awareness from imbalance-restlessness / fraction. By being unable to be aware of it by Definition by the nature-Logic of Self-Awareness. An act of omission that in life on Earth, a reversal of Relationship-Movement / Self-Awareness – must be an act of commission by Choice in order to be Free and functional on its own. For Choice to be able to move with self-guidance / direction independently.

Instruments of Relatability
A feeling of awe
How does it feel to get it right, do what’s right, and do it right? To align with Self-Awareness sharing itself in Creation, supporting its Creations through Guidance from the bottom up Spontaneously instead of ruling its domain / possession-turf hierarchically from the top down. Manipulating its ‘creations’ / subjects for its own selfish interests? In the act of functions complementing one another – Love and Logic – spontaneously they share with one another who and what they are, their functions, their gifts, in an act of giving.
To be aligned with this fundamental act of Creation is to accept a gift passed on continuously from its origin, Self-Awareness, function that evolved from its constituent parts, from Relationship, and to pass it on to others in need of it. An act of connection that feels at once grateful and satisfied to have a fundamental need met, for Connection, for the gift of Love-Spontaneity, Order-Logic, and Self-Awareness, and for the sharing of the gift with others to whom we are connected, who need connection and in turn would be grateful to have and share it. The feeling would be a combination of gratitude from gift-receiving and satisfaction from gift-giving. From receipt of an act of kindness to sharing-giving an act of kindness. It would also be a feeling of awe that it could be possible in an internal and external world afflicted with hierarchical willfulness centered on an act of taking.
The condition of an appearance
In the absence of one big answer the question What is? can only be answered conditionally. Because in the absence of one big answer the only kind of ‘knowledge’ that’s possible is limited knowledge. Limited to the situation. Conditional. Situations are conditional. States of conditions that can only come about if conditions are favorable to them. The premise behind astrology and other forms of prediction based on chance-unpredictability. Movement = situation = condition enabled by conditions favorable to it.
It is in the nature of Movement – its Logic – that it activates. Having been ignited by Relationship it passes on its nature – ignition – to everything included in its situation / itself, for that is what it is: situation that’s Movement. Represented in life on Earth by the idea of fire passed on by Prometheus. The condition-situation that’s Movement came about in the context of a larger perspective that included other conditions that had to be favorable. Movement-situation wasn’t the only condition, which is why all situations are conditional. The other conditions included Relationship Love-Logic / Spontaneity-Order. Also absence of big answer know-it-all. Ignition made possible by state / non-state of anything goes that can’t ignite-initiate anything. The reverse-opposite of Movement that relies on Movement for its ‘activation’ as inactivation. Its nature-Logic. Inactivity. Its condition unless ‘activated’ by Mind in condition of self-unawareness hallucinating.
Movement’s nature-Logic is the doing of Relationship-ignition Being / Self-Awareness. It affects all the conditions that enabled it including its reverse-opposite anti-movement. Impossibility. Being incapable of being or doing anti-movement / make-believe was automatically by Definition inactivated by Movement. It was brought into Mind-activated as a hypothesis essential to Definition – what isn’t – that applied to Movement itself. Movement defined by what it isn’t. Its being in the nature of Movement that all conditions pertaining to its situation must be given some status-place in Mind-Definition. Some state of Mind that would include inactive / self-unawareness, the reverse-opposite of Mind Self-Awareness.
Giving every reverse-opposite condition collectively the condition of an appearance, as if a reflection in a mirror detectable only by Mind itself in a state of appearance when self-unaware and capable only of detecting / being ‘aware’ of inactivity conditions when itself inactive and dreaming. Meaning that every act of Movement is situation and every situation necessarily is accompanied by inactivity in Reality / Self-Awareness. Reality = Self-Awareness = Reality. Unreality / make-believe = self-unawareness = unreality make-believe.
Free of manipulation
Inaccessibility of personality types all in with make-believe is attributable to their being self-unaware. They are Love / Free Choice at their core-essence but locked into state of self-unawareness that’s unreality make-believe whose source-cause is ultimately Movement ignited by Relationships Love-Logic Self-Awareness. To condemn these types is to condemn part of ourselves as well as our reverse-opposites. It’s all interconnected, of one piece. Meaning condemnation doesn’t work. It’s part of the reverse-hypothesis – an impossibility. What works is understanding-insights from Guidance that are Spontaneous.
The absence of big answer is a universal condition that accompanies every act-Movement of Mind-Relationship Self-Awareness. It’s a negative that necessarily belongs in the Definition of every positive. The difference between Spontaneity and chance is Spontaneity is hooked up to Guidance that’s not captivity. The conditions that favor personality type’s captivity to the negative are therefore absence of differentiation and empathy, Logic and Love, Order and Spontaneity. Viz. absence of Creativity-Life. Being there for these types requires explanation enabled by all of these conditions – when conditions are favorable. When Mind-explaining has employed Choice / Character-Integrity to resist / ward off captivity itself and operate relatively free of manipulation by make-believe.
Instruments of Relatability
Each of us in our magic kingdom of make-believe herd mentality rigidly welded to our herd perspective. Whereas in Reality Relationship / Self-Awareness is perspective and the Self that it shares through Creation is an infinite network of interrelationships each with its own perspective. An infinite variety of perspectives, none welded rigidly to anything ‘herd’ but free instead to interrelate spontaneously with help from Guidance to view situations-circumstances from one another’s perspective effortlessly, without striving or struggle, friction or pain. An infinite variety of perspectives interchangeable freely-spontaneously in contrast to the standoff between one personality type here seeking Self-Awareness with help from Guidance, the other its reverse-opposite self-unawareness rigidly welded to the perspective of predatory animal instinct, herd mentality, rigidly opposed to mindfulness seeking Self-Awareness. There being no possibility of flexibility on the side of animal willfulness or interchangeability between opposing-conflicting perspectives mindful-individual vs. animal-herd.
No possibility of one type complementing the other except for two conditions of their situation. One being the ‘promise’ of anything goes in make-believe. The other of Spontaneity wherever Love is present, and Love, like Mind, is present everywhere. The Love of Parent for Child takes the initiative in converting competition-conflict between parent and child into a complementary relationship. In using Relationship to ignite Movement-change from rigidity of make-believe answer thoughtlessness-mindlessness to flexibility of questioning. So that perspectives can change and cease being obstacles to Relatability and become its instruments instead.
